FRIDAY, MAY 5, 2017
Cinco De Mayo is a big festivity every year especially in the Hispanic community. We al need to realize what and why we are celebrating this certain day. This holiday was a victory in 1862 over France at the Battle of Puebla. Cinco De Mayo is mainly observed in Pueblo, but in other parts it is recognized as well. It is not considered a Federal holiday for Mexicans people continue to work as if its a normal day. In the United States they have parades, parties mariachi music, and Mexican cuisine. Some of the largest festivals are held in Los Angeles Chicago and Houston. This is time to remember all the lives who have been lost in this battle. When you are celebrating this important day remember why you are celebrating. Be mindful of someone else's culture.
